50 Cent Using Twitter to continue to gain his wealth

On the week of January 11th Curtis Jackson (A.K.A. 50 Cent) Gained about  8.7 million in revenue by suggesting his 3.8 million Twitter fans to invest in a company that sells headphones. Once this happened the stock H&H Imports (HNHI) skyrocketed from 3 cents a share to 39 cents a share. Oh and I almost forgot to mention that before that happened Curtis bought about 750, 000 dollars of the stock before the increase which mad him a millionaire all over again.

Wow what a lesson here! This is an example of how to continue to reinvent yourself and the way you market to the mass media.  50 Cent used his reputation of not only being a popular rap star but also being a successful businessman and turned it into millions in less than a weekend. How do you do the same thing?  Here’s some quick tips that in my opinion could help you market yourself.

1.    Never be afraid to reinvent yourself. Some people are grounded in their foundation therefore are traditional. Never be afraid to try something new, vibrant, and exciting.

2.    We all must take risk but do your research 1st . You always want to be educated in you’re marketing. That way when you speak about your project you can be passionate without sounding dumb. Plus you feel confident about your product or brand.  I’m sure 50 Cent did his research before jumping into his venture.  It kind of makes it easier when you have 50 Cent’s capital.

3.    Always have a plan and a back up plan and another back up plan when making new moves in marketing anything. You want to be sure that nothing to stop your movement when you are achieving your marketing goals. When Curtis started twitting about his stock he did it in such a way that the feds could not come after him. I’m sure that his lawyers helped him to make sound decisions on how to implement his strategy.

4.    Watch the company you keep. Other people can either help or hinder you in your goals and aspirations in life. Keep the positive minded people and ditch the rest.

I’m not 50 Cent, but I’ m sure he used some of these methods to gather a serious twitter fan base and knew what to do with them to promote himself and other companies that he is affiliated with.
